This is the story of two women brought together by the grace of God.

In 1968 a family moves from the United States to Liberia, West Africa, on a missions trip and comes to know a people, and a culture, that will change their world forever. Due to illness the missions work is cut short and the family returns to America.

Thirty years later, in 2004, the mother of this family, now a widow, is contacted by an old friend they had made in Liberia. He inquires about the possibility of his daughter, who has endured hardships of the raging Civil War in that African country, coming to America.

What follows is a fast moving, heart touching story of friendship and devotion that will lift your spirit and make you contemplate your role in the lives of others.
